Amos Esty
Amos Esty is the managing editor of DARTMOUTH MEDICINE magazine and a staff writer in the DMS Office of Publications. He enjoys having the opportunity to learn and write about the variety of work being done at DMS and DHMC, from basic scientific research to clinical care, as well as a chance to work with other writers who contribute to the magazine.
Prior to joining DARTMOUTH MEDICINE in 2008, Amos worked as a freelance writer and editor and as an assistant editor of American Scientist magazine. At American Scientist, he wrote and edited articles and book reviews on topics ranging from environmental economics to paleoarchaeology. Before his career took a turn toward science writing, he earned a master's degree in American history from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
