Meredith Sorensen

Meredith Sorensen took a two-year hiatus from her general surgery residency to earn a master's degree in science & medical journalism from Boston University. She currently freelances for the Book of Odds. She also won a 2009 Mark of Excellence award from the Society of Professional Journalists for her work appearing in Free Radicals, Boston University's online science magazine. She returned to residency in June 2010, but hopes to continue writing on the side. She can be reached at mersorensen@gmail.com.
