Helping out in Haiti

Dr. Anthony Albert with Haitian OR nurses

On January 12, 2010, a massive earthquake struck Haiti, not far from Port-au-Prince, the nation's capital. Within days, a team of nine volunteers from DMS and DHMC were on their way to Haiti to provide much-needed medical assistance. Over the next few weeks, other teams of medical volunteers followed, while back in Hanover, DMS and Dartmouth College students raised tens of thousands of dollars to contribute to relief efforts. Read more about the Dartmouth effort to help out in Haiti in the article "Dartmouth commits to helping out in Haiti" from the Spring 2010 issue of Dartmouth Medicine. And below, see photographs taken by members of the Dartmouth community during their work as volunteers in Haiti.
