Fund for Geisel is a team effort
Geisel couldn't be the excellent school it is without the alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends who, every year, contribute generously to the school's annual fund. The Fund for the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth achieved its second-highest total ever in fiscal year 2014, with $861,139 and the support of 1,034 donors. These unrestricted dollars support scholarships, curriculum development, innovative programs, state-of-the-art facilities, the recruitment and retention of the highest caliber faculty, and the overall operation of the school.
The 84 alumni, 17 students, and 6 parents who served on behalf of the Fund deserve hearty applause. Worthy of note is the new Family Fund Committee, made up of parents of alumni and current students, which more than doubled the giving among parents.
Overall, Geisel received a total of $21.5 million in gifts from individuals and private foundations in fiscal year 2014 to support scholarships, research, student programs, faculty development, and more. A special thanks to everyone who contributed to the Geisel School of Medicine.
