Maggie Mahar
Maggie Mahar is the author of "Money-Driven Medicine: The Real Reason Health Care Cost So Much" (Harper Collins 2006) and "Bull! A History of the Boom and Bust, 1982-2004" (Harper Collins, 2004).
Formerly an English professor at Yale University, Mahar began her career as a financial journalist by writing for publications such as Institutional Investor and The New York Times before becoming senior editor at Barron's. There, she wrote cover stories on a wide range of subjects including health care, Wall Street, Washington and social policy.
