Staff Writer for the Valley News, a daily newspaper in West Lebanon, N.H. Wrote human-interest stories, including the weekly A Life column about recently deceased residents of the readership area, Q&A weekly interview, and text for the Sunday photo page.

Academic Writer for Office of Academic Research at Norwich University in Northfield, Vt. Wrote online content, as well as text for brochures, about research activities of faculty, undergraduates, and alumni. Responsible for updating http://www.norwich.edu/academics/academicAffairs/news/. In brochure production, arranged for graphics and photography and worked with outside printers. Also adapted Web-site articles into PowerPoint slide shows for rotation on large screens around campus.

Staff Writer for the Valley News, a daily newspaper in West Lebanon, N.H. In 2005, moved to news department as general-assignment reporter after 17 years as Sports Writer. Frequent contact with faculty, administrators, and students at Dartmouth Medical School, Dartmouth College, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, and other area institutions. Sports duties included covering events of area high schools, as well as at Kimball Union Academy in Meriden, N.H., and at Dartmouth College. Also assembled and edited weekly Recreation Page. Also wrote freelance articles for Dartmouth Medicine, Here in Hanover, and Woodstock magazines.
April 1984 to October 1987
Staff Writer for the weekly Vineyard Gazette newspaper on Martha's Vineyard, in Massachusetts. Wrote about local government and politics of each of the island's six towns, as well as about island-wide organizations such as the regional school district, the county airport, and the hospital. Also wrote human interest feature articles on a wide range of people and subjects.

Staff Writer for the Newport Daily News in Newport, R.I. Wrote about local government, local hospitals and health issues, police and court news, as well as human-interest features and editorials.
September 1976 to September 1980
Through cooperative education program at Northeastern University in Boston, Mass., served nine separate internships of three to six months as a general assignment reporter for the Newport Daily News (see above). Also answered phones and dealt with customers during newsroom receptionist's time off.

Wrote roundups of Junior Babe Ruth League baseball games in Portsmouth, R.I., for weekly Sakonnet Times.
Education
Majored in journalism at Northeastern University; graduated cum laude with bachelor's degree in liberal arts in June, 1981. Received an award from New England Press Association in 1979 for newspaper internship work at the Newport Daily News. Attended public schools in Portsmouth, R.I., graduating from Portsmouth High School. Won awards in French and was named a member of the National Honor Society.
Personal
Married since October 1985 to Goodie (Stiller) Corriveau, currently a library assistant at Dartmouth College. Taught deep-water aerobics in the Dartmouth College FLIP program January-August 2009. Other interests include hiking, travel (particularly in Maine and Atlantic Canada), folk and traditional music, and reading a wide variety of books, magazines, and several daily newspapers.
