Not your typical spring break

Michael Bartholomew ('03) has dedicated his career to
public health efforts addressing American Indian and
Alaska Native populations.

Since graduating from medical school at Dartmouth, Michael Bartholomew ('03) has worked to improve the health of American Indian and Alaska Native communities. See the article "Philanthropy in Action" from the fall 2013 issue of Dartmouth Medicine. Current Geisel medical students are making their own contributions to this effort as well, in part thanks to programs put together by Shawn O'Leary, the director of multicultural affairs at Geisel. In a video interview, O'Leary talks about an annual trip to American Indian communities taken by medical students on their spring break.
