Photos of the 2011 Prouty
The photos below are a few of the 3,400 photographs taken by volunteers Dan Grossman and Chelsea Geoffrey, both of Thetford, Vt., during the 2011 Prouty. Dan is the husband of DARTMOUTH MEDICINE's longtime editor, Dana Grossman; he takes photos as a volunteer at numerous nonprofit events in the Upper Valley (and, for the Prouty, Dana drives the pickup truck from which he shoots along the entire 100-mile bike course). Chelsea is a photography major at SUNY-Plattsburgh who became interested in photography as a high school student after observing Dan taking pictures during a Thetford Academy field trip. The 2011 Prouty happened to fall on a lovely summer day—perfect for both the participants and the photographers.
